Cable TV Channel Closer to Reality
(Lamoine) — Most of the programming will be on an excitement level
just below that of C-SPAN, but sometime this spring, Lamoine should have
at least one of its cable TV channels in operation. Technicians from Adelphia
have hooked up the fiber optic lines at the Town Hall and the School to
prepare for broadcasting. The final pieces of equipment to actually transmit
pictures and sound have yet to be installed.
Initially, the town hall programming will consist of a “slide show”
using a computer program which will give information about the town and
upcoming meeting schedules. Eventually it’s hoped enough volunteers
will form a committee to broadcast meetings live.
