(Lamoine) — Selectmen dealt with a complaint from resident William Fennelly against the Transfer Station Manager and the Administrative Assistant. Mr. Fennelly said the transfer station was not adequately shoveled, and the manager was smoking inside his office. He said he was barred from making a complaint about improperly disposed of trash when the Administrative Assistant threw him out of the town office.
Selectmen investigated the complaints, and reminded the Transfer
Station Manager about the smoking policy. A letter will go to the trash generator
warning him to properly dispose of building debris. The Board found the complaints
against the Administrative Assistant to be unfounded. The board found that
Mr. Fennelly was asked to leave the office when he used inappropriate language.
A witness corroborated the account. Mr. Fennelly was also asked to leave the
Selectmen’s meeting by Board Chair Jo Cooper after making a threat.
