(Lamoine) — The election of Perry Fowler as a Selectman created
a vacancy on Lamoine’s Planning Board, and a shuffling of volunteers
resulted. Moving onto the Planning Board from the Board of Appeals is
that board’s Chair, Melody Havey. She was appointed a full member
of the Planning Board, and Selectmen and Planning Board members enthusiastically
welcomed her experience. Chris Tadema-Wielandt moves from an alternate
member of the Board of Appeals to a full member, and was selected Chair
of the Appeals Board. Named as alternate members to the Board of Appeals
were former School Board chair Hancock “Griff” Fenton and
Budget Committee member Reggie McDevitt. The Selectmen felt two alternates
were important to the Appeals Board in case conflicts made full members
unable to hear appeals.
