(Lamoine) - The class of 2004 set a record in Lamoine for the number of high school honor graduates. A dozen Lamoine students graduated with honors from MDI High School and Ellsworth High School in June. The superintendent reports there were 27-seniors this year. All the known honor graduates received a nice certificate from the Board of Selectmen.

From Ellsworth High School congratulations go to Mary Jones (honor essayist), Miranda Engstrom, Richard McMullen, Samuel Stephens, Tessa Miller and Josh Norris.

Honor graduates from MDI High School were Will Fellis, Bryan Duffy, Mario Moretto, Michelle Jordan, Kyle Glass and Andy Stocking.

Most of the honor graduates say they’re headed to college next year—some far away, others staying in Maine. To all the high school graduates—good job!
