PATRONS MEETING NOTES
March 10, 2003 6:30 pm

ATTENDING: Angie Butler, Chrystine Emigh, Lisa Branch, Cheryl Curtis, Debbie Picard, Bill Butler

TREASURER
· DEPOSITS:
· $243.18 From the Spring Fling Dance. We brought in $298.25 before expenses. Great turnout!
· $192.67 Profit from the Town Meeting. Not as much as last year, however the meeting was very short.
· EXPENSES
· $80.00 to Children’s Museum of Boston. Paid for African Art Learning kits for use with 1st – 4th grade students.
· $100 paid to Maine Maritime Academy for Richard Sprague’s scholarship

· OTHER BUSINESS
· $479 in our From Funding Factory account
· School Pop has approximately $175 in it… still don’t think that all purchases have been credited yet.
· Box Tops…. Box Tops ends March 17th. Make sure everyone sends them in before the deadline!
· Ck book balance as of today $2400.12.
· Upcoming expenses include the DARE program (Val hasn’t submitted the bill yet.) and the Podium. We are over 1/3 of the way there. The next two dances should pay for it! Jazz Band has requested money to help them get to State Competitons. They are currently fundraising…. We will wait to see how they do on their own before we donate any money. They only need to raise $800, so hopefully they can do it on their own. Also, Lisa will order decorations for the next two dances.

BILL BUTLER
We now have an informal agreement with Bill Butler for his DJ Service. Bill agreed to do one FREE dance per school year. All other dances will be paid at a minimal fee of $25 or 10% of the door. Our first dance (last month) had 74 attending, we should easily be able to get to 100 for our next dance as long as there are no conflicts. Bill has requested that the music request sheet for be faxed to Kiss radio preferably a week in advance, for him to compile music. While Bill was there, we planned the next two dances, a Luah on April 11th, and either a Sadie Hawkins or possibly 70’s theme for May 16th. We were hoping to do one last one in June, but the schedule appears to be too hectic that month.

LUAH DANCE – FRIDAY MARCH 11th 6:30-9:30 pm
· We should be all set on Soda for this dance, however we would like some water donated. Chrystine will bring the cheese and chips to make Natcho’s! We have small bags of chips left over from the last dance.
· CHAPERONES AND HELPERS – We only need a total of 10 people to help out… if you’d like to help out, let Angie or Chrystine know and we’ll add you to the list. People who chose to help decorate and set up will need to be at the gym at 5pm. We will also need a few people who are able to stay after and clean up.
· WE WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS DONATED:
o Frozen Pizza’s (5 or 6 of them)
o Deserts and Candy Bars – we only need a few batches of cookies and brownies.
o Water bottles – 12 oz individual size bottles would be great!
o If you can donate any food for the dance (or the other upcoming events), please contact Faith Perkins at 667-5815, We truly appreciate any and all help!

NEXT MEETING DATE set for Tuesday, April 8th at 6:30 pm
