ATTENDING: Angie Butler, Chrystine Emigh, and Lisa Branch
TREASURER
· Podium – will be ordered soon. Val got a grant so it won’t
cost us as much. We just need to pick it out and order it.
· Finances: Check book balance $2478.89. Since last meeting we’ve
paid $300 for DARE program, $25 for DJ service, Oriental Trading (decorations
and bingo supplies) $93.72. We’ve deposited $321.75 from the dance and
$175.74 from School Pop. We currently have $647.20 in our Funding Factory account.
By the end of the year Lisa will order a check. Technology for Kids account
has about $200 in there. We need to find something to order… a printer
or something like that.
· Box Tops – We need to have the classrooms order their supplies
from the contests. 2nd Grade earned $50, and K, 1st, 3rd and 7th each earned
$25. Don’t have the winner for March in front of us.
· We are on target to put away $2000 this year! That’s double what
our goal was!!! That would give us $7000 put away!
70’s DANCE – Friday April 16th 6:30-9:30 pm 5th thru 8th grade
(We are hoping that Faith Perkins will be able to call around for the following
info…. Faith if you can’t please let us know!!!)

· 3 or 4 cans Pineapple Chunks for punch
· 3 jars of cherries for punch

5. Deb please ask Mike Arsenault for the stuff to rope off DJ Bill Butler’s equipment – that worked GREAT last time!
6. Anyone have any LAVA LAMPS??? Angie has one to bring in… any others would be “groovy baby”
7. Lisa can’t come to the dance, but will bring tablecloths, and all remaining soda, water, chips etc on hand ahead of time. LISA DON’T FORGET THE MONEY for change!!
8. CHAPERONES AND HELPERS – We only need a about of 10 people to help out. If you’d like to help – please let us know. The people who chose to help decorate and set up will need to be at the gym at 4:30pm. We are hoping to have Debbi McNeal, Angie, Chrystine, Brett, Sheryl Curtis, Debi Pickard, Faith Crotteau and Michelle Wyman. Again – anyone else is welcome to help us out!
OTHER ITEMS WE DISCUSSED
1. PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT – Angie brought up that some parents have asked about that. We NEED to make that one of our goals for next year, as soon as we hear from the planning board. Possibly Next spring we’d be able to put in a new piece of equipment. It would be smart to get a piece that you can add on to.
2. Let’s try to work on some CREATIVE Fundraisers next year. Ideas – a money jar contest. Each class puts money in jars… class with the LEAST amount wins a prize (pizza part or something like that) … Some other kind of Big Bingo. Angie heard of a Longaberger Basket Bingo that was a huge success. Something creative and fun that could bring in good money!!
3. PATRONS Scholarship $100. Only two applications were submitted. After we all read the apps we unanimously picked Jaimie Pinkham. Chrystine will write her a letter that she’s won.
4. June 18th is the last day of school (as well as Chrystine’s delivery date!) Awards night will probably be the 16th. Someone will have to speak and give out the honor roll awards. 2 out of 3 quarters of honors gets a certificate. 2 out of 3 quarters of high honors gets a certificate and a pin.
NEXT MEETING DATE:
Tentatively set for Thursday, June 5th at 6:30 pm
Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm
