Tasks for Next Meeting

Everyone is going to contact their groups by our next meeting so we can update our calendar.

Town Groups

Cynthia reviewed our list of town groups/committees, their contacts, and our liaison responsibilities.

Gordon will be the liaison for the Parks Commission and the Comprehensive Planning Committee.

Miranda will be the liaison for the Lamoine State Park.

Before our November meeting, we need to contact our groups to check on planners.  Gordon will email a copy of the planner sheet so that we can share them electronically.  Carol will maintain a file of completed forms.

Parade Committee

We need to add a parade committee to our list of groups/committees.  Jo is going to ask Stu if he knows anyone who would be willing to head up this committee.  It needs to be someone with parade organization experience.  Gary McFarland is willing to help with old cars.

Celebration Events

Skip Smith seems okay with the Fire Department’s involvement including traffic control for other events.  He offered to send  Lamoine 150 information with their annual mailing.

Jo is going to contact Maine 200 to see if they would be able to join with Lamoine 150 to help with fireworks at the State Park.

We discussed trying to get the Steel Drum Band, but no decision was made.

No changes at this time.

The Logo Committee should be meeting in the next couple of months so that the Logo Contest can be announced in January.  The final date for submissions has been changed to Thursday, May 2 at 5 P.M.  The selection will be announced by Thursday, May 16.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:55 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Carol Duffy, Secretary
