Thursday, June 11 at 4:00 P.M. at the Town Hall or online.

Adjustments to Scheduled Events

All Celebrating Our Story events have been postponed due to COVID-19. Gordon is going to talk with John Holt about the possibility of doing “Celebrating Our Story: Lamoine’s Original Families” online.

We will discuss the future of programs for June and July at a future meeting.

“King Muttonhead” will not be performed in May as rehearsal time is needed.  Gordon and Fred Stocking are discussing possible new dates, perhaps in August during our Festival Weekend on Thursday and Friday nights and Sunday afternoon.

The Lamoine Fire Department has canceled this year’s auction.

Bicentennial Grant

Grant forms are in, and we are all set.  The state says that we now have until 2021 to spend the money.  They don’t want it back.

Lamoine Quarterly

A Lamoine 150 article was submitted telling people that when it’s possible, the events will continue.

Budget

We have $28,864 in our Lamine 150 account so our finances are fine.

School Video

Stu played the “We’re Gonna Be Okay” video created by Lamoine School Staff for their students.

Sardines

After a lot of discussion of possible ways to do something for the town, it was decided that we would “salt” the town with sardines and encourage Lamoiners to “pepper” the town with their creations.

Gordon is going to work on a publicity blurb and send it out to use to review this week.

The plan is to put our six sardines out by April 18 around town.

We will invite people to find the first six and then make their own sardines to float in their front yards.

We will ask people to send pictures of their sardines which Miranda will make into a video to share on the Lamoine 150 YouTube channel.

Information will be distributed in our usual ways plus it will be sent home to Lamoine students the first week of May when materials are next distributed.

August Big Festival Weekend

Until we have a better idea about when social distancing will end, planning is on hold.

Since we have made some commitments to groups, Cynthia and Jo will contact them.

Emails

Please include Lamoine 150 in the topic line of emails so they can be found easily.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:54 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Carol Duffy, Secretary
