Lamoine Budget Committee MinutesSeptember 18, 2006 |

Deputy Town Clerk Stu Marckoon called the meeting to order at 7:08 PM
Present were: Committee members Reggie McDevitt, Hubene Brodie , Joe Young, Robin Veysey ; Stu Marckoon (secretary). Committee chair Henry Ashmore had phoned to say he was unable to attend due to his daughter's wedding. Linda Feury was unable to attend.
Selection of Officers:
Chair- Robin nominated Henry as Chair for the 2006/07 season. Joe 2nd . Vote in favor was unanimous.
Vice Chair – Hubene nominated Joe Young as Vice-Chair. Robin 2nd . Vote in favor was 3-0, Young abstained.
Secretary - Hubene nominated Stu to act as the Board's Secretary. Robin 2nd . Vote in favor was unanimous.
Schedule – The Budget Committee discussed dates and set the following meetings for 7PM at the Town Hall:

Final Budget Recommendations. |
The Committee briefly discussed the building project(s) being studied by the school. Stu said there would likely be a special meeting for the committee as the school board has discussed having a referendum in January on a project. Robin said there would be a forum on the building plans on October 12th with a follow up on November 1st . A brief discussion followed on the potential uses for the portable classrooms.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM
