There was a brief discussion about possibly paying Cable TV techs to produce shows, since there is a fair amount of money in the fund.
Planning Budget – Stu reported no change was proposed from the current year budget. He noted he had originally scheduled the Planning Board for the November 29 th meeting, but felt it made more sense to place it with the Code Enforcement budget. There was a brief discussion about postage and advertising lines, and membership in the Hancock County Planning Commission.
Code Enforcement Budget – Henry reviewed the CEO budget line by line, and noted the full budget was up $100, which was primarily for the inflationary salary increase. Stu noted that depending on what the Census for 2010 turns out to be, the town may be obligated to start enforcing the state building code, which could be costly.
Roads Budget – It was discovered that the wrong budget had been placed in front of the committee. The correct budget was distributed. There were brief discussions about the plowing contract, tree removal, a few individual roads, street sign thefts, streetlights, paving and crack sealing.
Next Meeting – The next meeting will be November 29, 2010 at 6:30 PM. The public safety and Parks/Recreation budget will be on the agenda. Stu said he should have a pretty good feel for the overall budget by that meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:15 PM
Stu Marckoon, Secretary
