NEW BUSINESS

1. Request for a Home Occupation Permit. C & D. Donovan, Map 1, Lot 52-2 . The request is to conduct a kayak rental operation – sea kayaks and tours. M. Garrett moved and C Ohmart seconded a motion to grant the permit. The vote was unanimously in favor.

In discussion of this permit, the Board wondered allowed if abutters should be notified of pending Home Occupation permit applications. By consensus it was agreed this item should be placed on the March Planning Board agenda.

2. Determination of permits required – Bangor Hydro Transmission Line Project. S. Sloan and L. Martin made an in-depth presentation of this proposal and distributed an explanatory packet. The Board determined the project is eligible for Site Plan Review and Building and Land Use applications. Bangor Hydro will submit applications at a subsequent meeting.

Prior to submission, Board members are to review the Site Plan review criteria to determine which ones apply to this “unusual” project and which ones do not.
