CEO Reports: A lengthy discussion ensued regarding a complaint filed by J. Fowler concerning an abutting goat farm. The upshot of the discussion was that B. Brooks will submit a copy of a letter regarding drainage singed by a licensed engineer and B. Brooks will request that the Department of Agriculture inspect lower field drainage – preferably with J. Commercial (Municipal) Building Permit application. On motion of M. Garrett, seconded by J. Gallagher, this application was unanimously accepted as complete.
The Planning Board is very much concerned about any ‘commercial” use of the sand stored in this shed. Commercial standards contained in the Ordinance were waived on the grounds this is a public building. Should the owner of the sand/salt contained therein sell to private contractors for use outside Lamoine, the Board may seek to initiate a violation. Selectman B. Jones is working to add an amendment to this effect to an already signed contract.
A Public Hearing is set for 6:40 pm on July 31, 2007.
