Lamoine Planning Board Minutes April 8, 2008

Board Members Present: S. Branch, G. Donaldson, M. Garrett, M. Havey, M. Jordan, C. Ohmart

Members of the Public in Attendance: K. Defusco, D. Grasso, T. Hartson, B. Jones, J. Karst, L. Karst, C. Korty, B. Levesque, S. Marckoon, S. Salsbury

PUBLIC HEARING

Commercial Building Application, J. & K. Karst - Map 4, Lot 7. S. Branch called the hearing to order at 6:33 pm... Following a brief presentation by J. Karst and a few questions and comments from the Board, the hearing was closed at 6:45 pm. C. Ohmart moved and M. Garrett seconded a motion to approve the permit. The motion passed unanimously.

APRIL 8TH MEETING AGENDA

Chairman S. Branch opened the meeting at 7:00 pm.

Minutes: The minutes of March 4, 2008 were accepted as presented.

CEO Reports: The CEO reports were accepted and placed on file.

CONSERVATION COMMISSION

C. Korty stated one “charge” of the Conservation Commission is to do research for the Planning Board. G. Donaldson asked that the Commission undertake research on Cluster Housing – a matter of keen interest to the Planning Board.

OLD BUSINESS

Completeness Review – Subdivision Application, S & R Joy, Map 4, Lot 55-1. There being no one present to represent the development, no action was taken.
Gravel Pit Permit Renewals – MacQuinn , Jordan . Schedule Site visits. The Board scheduled Site visits for these listed gravel pits:

MacQuinn : Map 9, Lot 13; Map 20, Lot 12: Map 7, Lot 7; Map 9, Lot 3; Map 3, Lot 42; Map 3 Lot(s) 31, 33.

Jordan : Map 3, Lot 4.

The visit is slated for Saturday, April 26, 2008. Meet at the Town Hall at 7:30 am.

NEW BUSINESS

Pre-Application for a Subdivision Reconfiguration - W. Wright/S. Salsbury (Partridge Cove Estates) Map 4, Lot 34. The Board reviewed the criteria for completeness of this eleven lot subdivision pre-application. C. Ohmart moved and M. Garrett seconded a motion to find the pre-application complete with one condition. That condition is:

Identification of an abutting subdivision as required by Section 12, D 3 of the Building and Land Use Ordinance.

A Site Visit is scheduled for Sunday, April 20, 2008. Members meet at the Town Hall at 8:00 am

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm.
