Call to order: 6:37 pm


Consideration of September 10, 2018 minutes - move to accept (Holt/Fowler) 4 - 0


Gravel Application: Doug Gott & Sons, Map 3 / Lot 2, “Smith Pit.” Findings of fact found complete (concerns raised about covered loads and air pollution - fine particulate matter). Application approved, 4 - 0.


Gravel Application: Doug Gott & Sons, Map 3 / Lot 6, “B & H Pit.” Findings of fact found complete (Chris Tadema-Wielandt abstained on all section D, Restoration, votes questioning performance of Doug Gott & Sons on previous restoration commitments. He also voted against on section E.1, covering loads.) Application approved, 4 - 0.


New Business:- Commercial Building Application, Cameron Stone and Landscaping, LLC, Map 4 / Lot 41-A. Application found complete with some conditions. Applicant to provide description of proposed activity, will add structure setbacks to map, and provide a building use statement. 5 - 0.

            Site visit: Monday, October 15, at 4:00 pm.

            Public Hearing: October 29, 2018 at 7:00 pm.


CEO Reports:

            Permits read, no discussion

            Letters from CEO: concerning K & T Rentals, met with Dawn Abbott of ME DEP to discuss tree removal on property. Maine forest wardens also consulted about possible logging without a permit. Logging not an issue, but owner was found to be in violation in five areas, cutting brush below 3 foot level within 100 feet of shore, over clearing of trees, creating too large a canopy opening, placing chipped material too close to the shore, and not securing permits for any of the work.


            Second letter about continuing interest by developer in developing two subdivisions in town including cluster development.


Ordinance Development:

            BLUO - had public, to selectmen to bring to Town Meeting.

            SZO - some wording changes in response to concerns of Kathleen Gaianguest

(most recent data, and 50 year flood instead of 100 year flood). To Selectmen for Town Meeting.


Meeting Dates: October 29, December 3, and January 7.
