Lamoine Board of Selectmen

Notes from December 2, 2007

The site visit at the school lot began at approximately 9:00 AM

Present were: Selectmen Richard Fennelly, Chris Tadema-Wielandt , Cynthia Donaldson; Administrative Assistant Stu Marckoon

Dick Fennelly was armed with flagging ribbon, Chris with the tax map and deeds, and Cynthia with warm clothing. Together the hearty troop braved the sub-freezing weather and a slight northwest breeze in search of property markers on the lot that houses the school, fire station, athletic fields and cross country trails. Flagging was deftly installed on the pins that could be found, including one on the northeast corner by the Clark lot.

There were no decisions made during the gathering other than perhaps that the two Selectmen who were not present and presumably warm and comfortable elsewhere had a much better grasp of priorities. It was, however, suggested that the lot to be set off for the firehouse should bound easterly at a point close to the covered walkway on the western side of the main school building, not withstanding that it would create a need for an easement for encroachment by the portable classroom. Given the weather forecast for the following day predicting up to 20-inches of snow, it was evident that this might be the last optimal day to perform such an exploration.

Respectfully submitted,

Stu Marckoon, Adm. Asst.
