|Minutes of Special Meeting - July 30, 2015|
Vice-Chair Jo Cooper called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM.
Present were: Selectmen S. Josephine Cooper, Heather Fowler, Nathan Mason, Bernie Johnson; Administrative Assistant Stu Marckoon and candidates for the Code Enforcement Officer Job at various times. Selectman Gary McFarland was unable to attend.
Minutes – July 16, 2015 – Heather moved to approve the minutes as written. Nathan 2nd. Vote in favor was 4-0.
Expenditure warrant 3 – Selectmen signed the warrant in the amount of $475,765.29. Stu noted that most of the expense was for paving and the 2015 accounts payable warrant for the school. There was a brief discussion about Needles Eye Road.
Cash & Budget Reports – There were no questions regarding the written reports.
Tax Liens – Stu reported the tax liens were filed earlier in the week. A brief discussion followed.
Executive Session – Jo moved to enter executive session pursuant to 1MRSA §405(6)(a) in order to conduct interviews with candidates for Code Enforcement Officer. Heather 2nd. Vote in favor was 4-0 at 6:13 PM. Out at 6:57 PM.
Appointments – Heather moved to hire Millard Billings as Code Enforcement Officer and Local Plumbing Inspector. Nathan 2nd. Vote in favor was 4-0. Selectmen signed the appointment papers.
Nathan moved to authorize Stu to discuss the possibility of an assistant or intern CEO/LPI with Edward “Rick” Gallegos. Heather 2nd. Vote in favor was 4-0.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:02 PM
