Chairman Gary McFarland called the meeting to order at 6:29 PM
Present were: Selectmen S. Josephine Cooper, Gary McFarland, Kathleen Rybarz, Nathan Mason, Robert Christie; Administrative Assistant Stu Marckoon, Town Attorney Daniel Pileggi.
Gary moved to go into executive session pursuant to 1MRSA §405(6)(E) in order to consult with the town attorney on current litigation. Nathan 2nd. Vote in favor was 5-0.
In at 6:30 PM, out at 6:47 PM.
Jo moved to authorize attorney Dan Pileggi to enter into a settlement in regard to the matter of MacQuinn vs. Town of Lamoine and to authorize Mr. Pileggi to offer consultation to the Planning Board in regard to hearing an application from Harold MacQuinn, Inc. that was the basis for the litigation. Nathan 2nd. Vote in favor was 5-0.
Mr. Pileggi advised that the settlement would be reported to the court on Monday, and there would be no trial or hearing on Tuesday the 15th.
Other – Stu reported that he is preparing a federal assistance to firefighting application and requesting that he be authorized to do so. There was no objection.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:50 PM.
