Ice Fishing Derby / Family Fun Day - Bill Fennelly came to the meeting and we discussed putting on a ice-fishing / family fun day at Blunt's Pond. The event would be put on by the Parks Committee & Snowmobile club. We all agreed to go ahead and do the event on Feb 14 or Feb 15 th because those are the days no fishing permits are required by the State of Maine . This weekend is also the weekend Bill takes the cubscouts fishing. Blunt's Ponds was stocked last year and was also stocked this year with 160 15-18" trout. In order to do this event we must apply for a derby permit from the State. We talked about giving awards to kids with the largest pickeral, perch & trout. And giving an award out to adults for the largest fish. The derby would go from 7am to dusk. The next meeting to discuss this is Monday, Dec. 1st @ 7:00 pm at the Town Hall.
Budget – We present our budget requests for 2009 at the town meeting on Dec. 15th @ 7:00pm. Kerry will be there, and anyone else that can join him for support would be great.
Bathroom Cleaning - Richard McMullen sounds interested in taking on Rusty's duties of cleaning the bathrooms for 2009. Rusty will continue to take the trash. Richard was going to let Kerry know by Dec. 1st.
Bloomfield Park - The new road into Bloomfield will be done by Dec. 1st!! We are going to create a loop trail at Blunt's Pond as phase 1 of our trail project there.
Spring 2009 Projects:
