	Lamoine Parks Commission Minutes of January 20, 2009 (Draft, Subject to Revision)

Call to order: 7:06PM

Present were : Parks Committee Members Kerry Galeaz, Christa Brey, Nathan Mason & Sara O'Connell. As well as 5K Race Committee Members Robin Emery, Tom Kirby & Connie Wallace.

Topics Discussed

Review of Minutes: Kerry moved to approve the minutes from 11/18/08. Vote in favor was 4:0. There was no meeting in December.

5K Flat Top Race: The Race date is March 28th, 2009

Eden & Sub 5 Running groups have put the race on their race series. It is the first race to start their running series.

Adults $10.00, Children $2.00

Sara is looking into getting T-shirts for the event.

Otherwise, the responsibilities are the same as last year

The Next Meeting for the Race will be Feb. 24th

Family Fun Day/ Kids Fishing Derby : Sat. Feb. 14th 2009

Our permit is for Kids only

We will have baked goods, raffles, places to get warm, a place to ice skate, and prizes for kids at the event.

The Next Derby Meeting is Feb. 10th @ 7:00pm at Darlings in Ellsworth

Kiosks

- The edits for the panels are done. Please bring your updated panel to the Derby meeting on 2/10 so that we can get the panel made.

Next Meeting – The next monthly meeting is Tuesday, February 24th at 7:00pm at the Town Hall. This will also be the second 5K Flat Top Race meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:25pm.
