Lamoine's Newest Apparatus is Rescue Truck 403, added to the fleet in March, 2005

Engine 401

This is our lead pumper, a 1995 International with a 1,250 Gallons Per Minute pump, foam, and 1,000 gallons of water on board. It carries rescue equipment, air packs, and ladders along with several hundred feet of attack and supply hose.

The tanker truck is a 1989 International which carries 1,800 gallons of water with a 450 GPM pump. It is used in tandem with the lead pumper to supply water to working fires. On board are two folding tanks capable of holding a total of 3,000 gallons of water.

The newest truck in the LVFD fleet is a 2005 International Chassis and MetalFab body featuring a 750 gallon tank with a 1,250 GPM pump. There is a great deal of space for this truck to carry all of the LVFD rescue gear including the Homatro Rescue Tool, generators, sump pumps, medical equipment, a new AED (defibrillator) and oil spill materials. The truck went into service in March 2005.

This pickup truck was purchased from the US Defense Department in 1996 as a surplus vehicle, then retrofitted to become a forest fire attack vehicle. It is a 1986 Chevy, with a heavy duty suspension. It carries 125 gallons of water with a 100 GPM pump and a booster hose line with foam, along with forest fire fighting tools. It is a very effective quick attack truck, and also serves as a command vehicle or a traffic control vehicle.

This was the first "new" truck the Lamoine Volunteer Fire Department purchased. This 1976 Ford was the lead pumper for many years. It has been semi-retired and turned more into a support pumper, but is still capable of putting out fires if pressed into service. It can fill tanker trucks, or attack a fire, but has only a 500 Gallon tank with a 750 GPM pump.
