In an emegency situation, can emergency medical services or law enforcement quickly locate your home? If not, please consider purchasing a sign/post that displays your home address in four-inch reflective numbers. Today, as a result of new enhanced 911 telephone features, a dispatcher can identify the specific street address and caller from a 911 call even if no one is able to provide that information. Unfortunately valuable minutes may be lost in response time by police, fire and ambulance, because of the difficulty of finding improperly or non-existent numbering at the victim's residence. |

The DOWNEAST TRIAD is please to announce a program that arranges to have as many homes numbered as possible. TRIAD is a volunteer, non-profit senior organization whose primary mission is the safety of seniors. These signs, that meet the 911 standards, are being manufactured at low cost by inmates at the Penobscot County Jail. You may choose to purchase just the reflective numbers (on a strong aluminum backer) to be applied in a highly visible location at the end of the driveway; or choose to additionally purchase the steel stake that is ready for installation.
