Hurricane Irene Information for Lamoine

August 2011

Hurricane Irene's effects are expected to be felt as the eye of the storm heads north. The storm is expected to be a tropical storm by the time it's eye moves Northwest of Lamoine.  The greatest threats include:

• Power Outages
• Flooding due to heavy rain
• Travel Impediments
• Coastal erosion/storm surge

If you have an emergency during the storm, please call 9-1-1.  The town office and fire station will not be manned, but 9-1-1 is open 24/7 and they will dispatch the apporpriate personnel to deal with any emergencies. Emergency personell will respond when it is safe to do so.
