The Town of Lamoine seeks applicants to serve as the Deputy Code Enforcement Officer on an “as needed” basis. The person chosen must be certified by the State of Maine as a Code Enforcement Officer within one year of appointment date. The Deputy Code Enforcement Officer fills in for the Code Enforcement Officer (CEO) when the CEO is unavailable to serve. Duties include, but are not limited to, processing permit applications, performing project inspections, and investigating complaints about code violations. Compensation is based on the CEO's contract with payment substituted to the Deputy CEO in the CEO's absence.
