Notice of Public Hearing

February 18, 2021 - 6:30 PM - Via Zoom (originating at Lamoine Town Hall)

The Town of Lamoine, thorough its Board of Selectmen and/or Planning Board, will hold a public hearing on the following matters to be decided at the annual town meeting in March 2021.  The Public Hearing will be held at the Lamoine Town Hall, 606 Douglas Highway, Lamoine on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 6:30 PM.  Participants may, one at a time, appear at the town hall to comment and offer written evidence, or may appear electronically via Zoom.  A link to the zoom meeting will be posted on the meeting agenda prior to the meeting.  Please consult www.lamoine-me.gov for information.  The hearing will be televised on Lamoine CTV channel 1303 and streamed live on Town Hall Streams, accessible through the town’s website.

 

Matters to be voted upon via referendum ballot on Tuesday, March 9, 2021:

 

·         To vote by secret ballot referendum on the following question:  “Shall the Town of Lamoine authorize the State to permit the operation of agency liquor stores on days other than Sunday?”

·         To vote by secret ballot referendum on the following question: “Shall the Town of Lamoine authorize the State to permit the operation of agency liquor stores on Sundays?” 

 

Matters to be decided by open town meeting on Wednesday, March 17, 2021

 

·         To request the towns people of Lamoine to Amend the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, Tax map 13 lot 50 Owned by Glenn and Donna Crawford from limited Residential Zone to Commercial Fisheries and Maritime Activities Zone. (This article was requested by a citizens’ petition).

 

·         To see if the town will vote to amend the Building & Land Use Ordinance dated March 17, 2021 Part I Section 5 Subsection 1 Non Conforming Structure. A copy of this amendment identified as Amendment 1 is on file with the Lamoine Town Clerk’s Office.

 

·         To see if the town will vote to amend the Building & Land Use Ordinance dated March 17, 2021 Part II Section 12 Subsection G. Setbacks, Side and Rear Yard Widths and Buffers. A copy of this amendment identified as Amendment 2 is on file with the Lamoine Town Clerk’s Office.

 

·         To see if the town will vote to amend the Building & Land Use Ordinance dated March 17, 2021 Part III Section 17 Subsection B. Definitions. A copy of this amendment identified as Amendment 3 is on file with the Lamoine Town Clerk’s Office.

 

·         To see if the town will vote to amend the Lamoine Site Plan Review Ordinance dated March 13, 2013 Section J General Review Standards, Subsection 1 Preserve and Enhance the Landscape.  A copy of the proposed amendment identified as Amendment 1 is on file with the Lamoine Town Clerk’s Office.

 

·         To see if the town will vote to amend the Lamoine Site Plan Review Ordinance dated March 13, 2013 Section M Appeals.  A copy of the proposed amendment identified as Amendment 2 is on file with the Lamoine Town Clerk’s Office.

 

·         To see if the town will vote to amend the Lamoine Site Plan Review Ordinance dated March 13, 2013 Section P Construction of Language.  A copy of the proposed amendment identified as Amendment 3 is on file with the Lamoine Town Clerk’s Office.

 

 

Any member of the public may speak or submit written testimony in regard to the above questions.
