	Board of Assessors Minutes - January 2, 2019

The meeting came to order at 8:30 AM.

Present were Assessors Jane Fowler, Terry Towne and Brian Thomas

Minutes – December 4, 2018 – Terry moved to approve the minutes as written.  Brian 2^nd.  Vote in favor was unanimous.

Inquiry – open space valuation – Map 5 Lot 17 – The board discussed an e-mailed message from attorney Ellen Best regarding the open space valuation.  Brian agreed to work with Attorney best in regard to an amended Open Space Classification form and a new map.

Digital Mapping – Brian reported on information he gathered regarding computer assisted mass assessing and how to structure a request for proposals for that, revaluation, and digitized mapping.  An e-mail for a request for proposals will be e-mailed for assessors’ review and then discussed at a public meeting.

Terry moved to inform the Board of Selectmen that the Board of Assessors will seek information on the cost of computerizing property records and possible revaluation.  Jane 2^nd.  Vote in favor was unanimous.

Transfers – The board reviewed new property transfers and declarations of value.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:15 AM.
