The meeting came to order at 8:30 AM.
Present were Assessors Jane Fowler, Terry Towne, and
Brian Thomas.
Minutes – January 2, 2019
– Terry moved to approve the minutes
as written.
Brian 2nd.
Vote in
favor was unanimous.
Open Space Questions – Map 5
Lot 17 – Brian
said he would send a letter to the new owner of 4 acres of Map 5 Lot 17 and to
Thomas Coleman requesting a clarification on where the two acres excluded from
Open Space are located on the parcel.
Digitized Mapping – The Board discussed Terry’s visit to the
Town of Hancock, along with mapping and a possible revaluation. Brian said he
would gather information about software and digitized mapping.
The Board agreed there would be no commitment,
just information gathering.
Brian prepared a letter from the Board of Assessors to the Board of Selectmen
regarding the intention to research digitized mapping and revaluation methods
and costs.
Terry moved to approve the letter, Brian 2nd.
Vote in
favor was 3-0.
Tree Growth Applications
– The Board reviewed applications for Tree Growth classification from William
Haass for Map 4 Lots 41-B, 41-B1 and 54.
There was a lengthy discussion regarding the
plans for Lot 54.
Terry said he would write an appropriate letter
requesting further information from Mr. Haass in order to complete the
application which will be returned.
Next Meeting
– The Board will meet on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 8:30 AM.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at
10:30 AM.
