Minutes - July 17, 2019

 

The meeting came to order at 8:06 AM

 

Present were Assessors Terry Towne, Brian Thomas, Jane Fowler.  Guest Mr. Sullivan from Maine Revenue Services property tax division arrived at 8:15 AM.

 

Chair – By acclamation, Jane Fowler was named as board chair.

 

State Review – Mr. Sullivan reviewed the ratio report, open space and farmland valuation, personal property tax assessment, abatements and supplemental assessments, tree growth records and other work by the Assessors for the year ending March 31, 2019.

 

Tax Commitment – The Board approved and signed the property tax commitment, setting the rate at 10.9 mills.

 

Next Meeting – The next regular meeting will be on August 7, 2019 at 8:00 AM.

 

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:10 AM.
