	Board of Assessors Minutes - August 5, 2020

The meeting came to order at 8:10 AM

Present were: Assessors Jane Fowler, Brian Thomas and Terry Towne

Minutes – July 8, 2020 – Terry moved to approve the minutes as written.  Brian 2^nd.  Vote in favor was 3-0.

Request of Robert & Marie France Browning – The board discussed a request from the Brownings for a review of a building value. Terry moved to have appraiser Matt Caldwell visit the lot in the spring of 2021 and to send a letter to the Brownings for more information.  Brian 2^nd.  Vote in favor was 3-0.

Response to Abatement Denial Appeal – The Board reviewed a response to the Hancock County Commissioners regarding an appeal of an abatement denial on Map 13 Lot 41.  Terry moved to send the response, Brian 2^nd.  Vote in favor was 3-0.

Personal Property Questions – The board prepared documents to send to Hughes Network and Canon Financial via e-mail in regard to inquiries about their personal property valuations.

Memoranda – The board discussed memoranda to be sent to the Planning Board, Selectmen and Code Enforcement Officer.  Brian moved to approve the memos.  Terry 2^nd.  Vote in favor was 3-0.

Next Meeting Date – The Board will meet next on September 9, 2020 at 8:00 AM at the Town Hall.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:20 AM
