Lamoine Fire Call - September 5, 2007

Lamoine VFD personnel responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Jordan River Road near the intersection of Buttermilk Road. The SUV shown on the flatbed tow truck to the right rolled over on the roadside, coming to rest against a utility pole at approximately 9:30 PM. A nearby homeowner and a passing motorist both telephoned 9-1-1 to report the accident.
The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel from County Ambulance but refused transport. The Hancock County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash. LVFD personnel provided traffic control, scene lighting, and helped the driver locate his cell phone which had been thrown clear of the wreckage by calling the cell phone number and locating the phone by hearing it ring in the bushes.
