April 18, 2004. The Lamoine VFD assisted with traffic control at a single vehicle accident on Buttermilk Road. The female driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and told the investigating deputy she swerved to avoid a large bird in the road. She was wearing a seat belt and her air bags deployed. She was treated at the scene by County Ambulance personnel and not transported to the hospital. The vehicle suffered extensive front end damage.
