Minutes - Special Town Meeting - January 6, 2022

 

Deputy Town Clerk Stuart Marckoon called the meeting to order at the Lamoine Town Hall at 7:00 PM.

 

Present were: Voters S. Josephine Cooper, Robert Christie, Stuart Marckoon, Jon VanAmringe, Margaret Stewart, Mark Harris, Carol Mason, Gary McFarland, Kathleen Rybarz, Brian Thomas and non-voter Shelly Coyne

 

  1. Selection of Moderator – Kathleen nominated Jo Cooper as the moderator.  Gary 2nd.  There were no further nominations.  The vote in favor of Mrs. Cooper was unanimous.  Deputy Clerk Stuart Marckoon administered the oath of office to Mrs. Cooper.
  2. To see if the Town of Lamoine will authorize the Select Board to expend funds received from the US Department of Treasury, the State of Maine, and the County of Hancock under the American Recovery Plan Act of 2021 as the Board deems appropriate in accordance with the award terms and conditions.  Stu Marckoon moved for approval.  Gary McFarland 2nd.  There was no discussion.  Vote in favor was unanimous.

 

There being no further business, the town meeting adjourned at 7:02 PM.
