Burn Permit Information
Permits are required before open burning takes place outdoors. Burn permits are available from the Lamoine Town Office during regular business hours, or from Fire Warden (and chief) George “Skip” Smith. Burn permits are also available for free from a state website

The fire danger dictates whether burning is allowed. Lamoine is located in zone 11, and the fire warden may limit the number of permits and time when burning is allowed.
If you have questions, call the Lamoine Town Hall.
