Bulky Waste Changes

Effective 9/30/10

The City of Ellsworth is no longer accepting bulky waste and demolition debris at the city run transfer station.  A new, privately operated facility just beyond the Ellsworth Transfer Station is the new disposal point.  Ellsworth Demo Disposal is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 4pm.

YOU NO LONGER NEED A PERMIT FROM THE LAMOINE TOWN OFFICE!

Universal Waste

Computer Monitors, Televisions, Batteries, and other Mercury containing waste are not accepted in Lamoine!

There are some options for universal waste disposal. They include North Coast Services in Hampden, 812-1391 and Mark Wright Disposal in Jonesboro, 483-4444.

The town also participates in the Acadia Disposal District Household Hazardous Waste event, usually in September.
