Lamoine Fire Station Roof Replacement
The Town of Lamoine seeks proposals from qualified contractors to remove the existing asphalt shingled roofing from the Lamoine Fire Station at 43 Lamoine Beach Road and replace it with metal roofing. The bid proposal shall include options for exposed fastener and hidden fastener construction. The proposals are to include the following:
- Removal and proper disposal of existing shingles
- Roof inspection and additional charge estimate for replacement of any damaged plywood.
- Installation of ice and water membrane at the eaves, extending 6-feet
- Installation of a vapor barrier using synthetic roof paper to remainder of the roof
- Install proper flashing at the chimney and wherever else required.
- Identification of the metal roofing material to be used, including the gauge of the material.
- Length of workmanship and materials warranty.
Proposals are to include proof of liability and workers compensation insurance. Proposals are to be submitted to the Lamoine Select Board, 606 Douglas Hwy., Lamoine, ME 04605 no later than 4:00 PM on April 16, 2026. Work is to be completed no later than August 31, 2026. The Town of Lamoine reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals.
